What a fantastic few days we've had at the Stoke your Fires Animation Festival, it's been a really brilliant event and one that I hope all those who attended and who won awards will remember for along time to come. Rest assured there will be another Stoke your Fires Festival next year! So if you've missed out you will certainly have the opportunity to see what this fine talent is getting up to, next year. And the winners are...
The Stoke Your Fires Awards saw in excess of 100 entries from around the globe, setting a great standard for our first competition. Aardman Animations’ The Pearce Sisters carried off the prestigious Best Animated Short award, as well as the award for Best Fine Art/Experimental Animation and with entries for all major areas of animation, including Stop Motion, CG and Traditional Animation, the ideas put forward and the way they were conducted through the mechanism that is Animation couldn't be understated.
